Search

Press Ctrl K (or ⌘ K on Mac) to search courses, lectures and notes. Use the arrow keys to move through the results and Enter to open one.

Settings

• Account: your name and profile picture.
• Appearance: light or dark theme.
• Lecture defaults:
  • Record lectures by default pre-selects recording in lecture setup.
  • Transcribe completed recordings turns on transcription for future recordings.
• Storage usage: how much space your materials, course files, recordings and exports use, and the upload limit.

Export and deletion

• Export creates a JSON file of your structured learning data, like courses, lectures and notes. Original files and audio aren't inside the JSON. Instead, the export lists sign-in-required download links for them.
• Deletion permanently deletes your learning data. Your sign-in identity and job receipts are kept. There is no restore or import tool, so export first if you might want your data later.

Dex and AI

• When you ask Dex a question, your question goes to an AI model along with the parts of your material Dex needs to answer, such as slides, code, transcript or notes for the lecture or course you're in. The model runs on Cloudflare Workers AI.
• Dex conversations are saved with their lecture or course, and you can start a new chat at any time. Deleting a lecture or course deletes its Dex conversations.
• Each account has a daily limit on Dex questions. When you reach it, Dex tells you and the limit resets the next day (at midnight UTC).
• Dex can make mistakes. Check important answers against your slides, the recording or your professor.
